THE ARCHIVE

You have entered a record of things observed, created, remembered, and questioned

Some of what follows is documented

Some of it is interpreted

Some of it has yet to be understood

Proceed accordingly

Tim /TRIP

Before there was an archive, there was the entity known as TRIP.

TRIP found a hidden doorway into our dimension through a musician, songwriter, storyteller, and creator named Tim. What began as songs, journals, stories, performances, and fragments of thought eventually became something more like a collection of work connecting themes of consciousness, identity, reality, perception, emotion and the space between experience and belief.

That body of work is now known as the Youniverse.

THE YOUNIVERSE

The Youniverse is a Multi-Media story built from music, writing, performance, visual art, recorded transmissions, artifacts, and unanswered questions. It does not exist in a single medium, only between them. A song may contain a piece, an artifact may contain a symbol, a story may contradict a journal entry. The pieces are connected. The meaning is not always obvious. You are not required to believe everything contained within the Archive. You are invited to investigate it.

The Youniverse  travels the worlds between both lived experience and constructed narrative. Some records originate from real events. Some are fictional. Some are transformations of real events. Some exist deliberately between those categories. The Archive does not always tell you which is which. Part of the journey is learning how to tell the difference. Or discovering that the difference may not be as simple as it appears.

THE ARCHIVIST

The Archivist is responsible for the organization, preservation, and presentation of the materials contained within this Archive. Their identity, origin, and relationship to the records remain classified. Where necessary, the Archivist has provided classification, context, and warnings. Where certainty is unavailable, uncertainty has been preserved.

THE PRIMARY SOURCE

Among the materials contained within the Archive, one artifact occupies a unique position.

SOURCE-001

THE JOURNAL

A handwritten record created over a period of time that would eventually become significant to the formation of the Youniverse. It is the earliest known primary source currently held within the Archive. Other records may reference it, contradict it or appear to originate from it. Whether those connections are intentional remains unresolved.

THE TRIPTONAUTS

Those who bear witness to the transmissions from, and artifacts of The Youniverse, are referred to as Triptonauts.

A Triptonaut is not an audience member.

A Triptonaut observes.

Questions.

Connects.

Searches.

Creates.

And occasionally finds something that wasn't meant to be found.

There is no required interpretation.
